The AERC annual business meetings allow for the Board of Directors and interested members to get together and discuss the activities of the organization. The meetings also include elections for new board members, discussions of yearly activities and events, as well as important topics around ecosystem sciences.

The 2016 AERC business meeting was a joint meeting between AERC and the International Union of Radioecology (IUR). The meeting was held in Aiken, South Carolina at the UGA Conference Center on October 3-5, 2016. This year's meeting included talks and workshop activities around the topic of radioecology.
